Wedding & Event Flower Trends for this Season

The wedding and event season is fast approaching - here's hoping the ash cloud disperses, and more sunny mild weather begins to appear.

I've been busy putting together ideas for upcoming weddings in July, August and September and possible upcoming events.  Roses and still a favourite, whether they're Avalanche, Grand Prix or Baccara as are Gerberas, Lilies and Peonies.  Lots of classic, timeless designs with retro-inspired peach and green, amber and red with traditional white and ivory still remaining a constant.  Pink is also still a firm favourite.

Event flowers tend to be simple, tall and elegant using classic vases and bold blooms.  In a bid to minimise carbon footprint, Corporates are specifying local british-grown blooms when available, with a focus on foliage, plants, moss, ivy, twigs and grasses.
